BB Ranch was founded
and began breeding registered Quarter Horses in 1992. Owners, Kim and Warren Boles
have been active rodeo competitors since
1979 and for the past several years have trained and competed on ranch
raised horses. Warren competes calf roping and team roping,
while Kim is a barrel racer. Their son, Tee Jay (born in 1991) started
out junior barrel racing, and now competes team roping as a heeler,
calf ropes and breakaway ropes. Tee Jay began his rodeo career by joining the Wrangler Junior High Division Rodeo in Manitoba in 2004. He then moved on to the Manitoba
High School Rodeo Association in 2005. Fall of 2007, the Boles family moved to Alberta and Tee Jay enrolled at the Westwind Rodeo Academy for his final two years of high school.
The
base of the BB Ranch breeding program began with the acquisition of
23 foundation bred Quarter Horse
mares and a stallion, from Tom Ford of
Winifred,
Montana.
These horses were the result of Tom's 40 years in building his breeding
herd. We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to purchase horses
of such a solid and reputable Quarter Horse breeding program to start the
B & B
herd with.
