We
purchased Ether in 1992 at a local auction. This horse was born and
raised in Quebec, Canada. We pasture bred mares to Ether for 7 years.
He was a nice stallion to be around and had great conformation. He
stood 15 hands and weighed 1200 lbs. We bred him to a wide range of
mares and discovered that when crossed on cow bred mares the resulting
foals were stout and solid (like the typical Doc Bar horses), but when
crossed on race bred mares, the foals were tall and leggy. As a result
of those matings we have some mares by Ether that are stout and solid
and some that are very tall. We have 8 mares sired by this stallion
in our broodmare band. We also have 2 geldings, one of which is available
for sale. |
